Introspective Breathwork® Therapy (IBT)

What is Introspective Breathwork® Therapy (IBT)?

Introspective Breathwork® Therapy is an innovative system for self-healing that harnesses the power of the breath to bring about fundamental positive change. The philosophy of IBT is that every person has the ability to heal themselves, through a process that involves connecting with a present-moment sensation in their body, conscious breathing, and allowing the mind-body to completely process and integrate what arises.

The breath, being a dynamic link between our conscious and unconscious experiences, allows us to connect with our body's sensations and emotions. Through IBT, we consciously observe our breath's rhythm, depth, and pattern, all of which reflect our inner state. By focusing on the breath, we become attuned to the subtle shifts within us.

Introspective Breathwork® Therapy is a fundamental pathway to somatic release. It involves using the breath as a tool to go inward and connect with ourselves, in order to connect our body and mind. When the body-mind connection has been reestablished through the breath and you explore your inner landscape with curiosity, allowing the sensations of the body to speak to and through you, the potential for somatic release and deep healing is ignited.

Rediscover Your Breath

The breath is intimately connected to our emotions and state of being. When we're stressed, our breath becomes shallow and rapid. Conversely, when we're relaxed, our breath is deep and slow. Introspective Breathwork® encourages us to breathe consciously, taking deep, intentional breaths to ignite healing and somatic release. During an IBT session, emotions and sensations may arise from 'under the surface' for new processing and healing.

Rediscover Inner Balance

The connection between breath and our body is profound. The breath serves as a bridge between our conscious and unconscious states. Through IBT, we can access and release deeply held emotions and traumas that might be stored in our bodies. As we breathe deeply and intentionally, we signal to our nervous system that it's safe to let go, promoting a sense of ease and calm within ourselves.

Breathe into a new way of being.
